RE220 not working after update also hard reset button not working
There was an update for RE220 repeater. The update was done successfully. Then I saw the repeater is not working. I powered off and on but still not working. Only the power light is on. The worst thing is the hard reset is not working. The whole thing is bricked.
I tried with LAN...but nothing works.
Please help.

Would there be any power outage during the firmware update?
and When you hard reset the RE220, will you see all the LED lights turn on then off?
How long have you had the RE220?
And if it is still under warranty, please try to contact the local shop to get a replacement.

@TP-Link Hardware reset does nothing. It seems the firmware update bricked the whole thing. Bought in 2019 of August, so no way for getting a new one for free!!!

I updated 1.0.7 Build 20200922 Rel. 39466 on my RE200 V4. The update was done successfully. Now only the power led is on. Nothing works anymore it is bricked.

Same thing here...
I just updated my RE200 EU v4 to the last firmware. The update was completed but, after the final reboot, the extender did not respond.
After trying to unplug from the powerline the extender started to flash with all leds; the reset button isn't responding, and the ethernet isn't working.
It's bricked...

If yes, the warranty service covered for two years.

Was there any power outage during firmware update?
And how long have you had the RE200?

I own the RE200 v.4 since May 2020, bought from Amazon IT
I ran the latest update trough the web interface of the extender: the software downloaded the new firmware automatically;
previous time I downloaded the firmware file from the official website and there were no problems updating.
There was no power outage during the update process, everything went apparently smooth; but the RE200 was not responding afterward.

Same here, just update my router and extender and the extender RE220 bricked. No power outage, updated from tether app directly. Bought it on September 2020.

When during the firmware update, is there any abnormal behavior, such as stuck as 90% for a long time?
Were you able to see the notification about the successful upgrade on the APP?
Have you tried to factory reset the RE220 to see if that made any difference?
