Archer C6 "Authorization required by https://##.##.###.#" (My default gate number)
Hello, I just bought Archer C6, and there is a little problem.
The internet is working, sort of.
For some reason, whenever I type certain sites, for example google.com, hotmail.com. outlook.com, it shoves the popup screen
"Authorization required by https://##.##.###.#"
Username:
PW:
The number matches the default gate number, I don't know if that helps or not.
I tried doing the pw admin admin thing on both username pw, or just the username, but it still does it.
This constant barrage of popup is slowly driving me nuts. Is there a way to fix this problem?
Thank you.
P.S. I am currently residing in Japan, if that changes something.

Hi, just to confirm, who is your ISP? Please ensure you have the internet access when connect the computer directly to the ISP modem, then connect the C6 to the modem with an Ethernet cable, and ensure the internet LED on C6 is green.
Please then show us the WAN status info on the C6, you can try to change the DNS server on the Internet page to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, then reboot the router and reconnect to confirm.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I am using the NTT communication for the ISP, or my like, the apartment that I am currently residing uses it.
They didn't have any specific modem, so I have directly connected the Ethernet from the wall to C6.
As you have said, I messed around with some DNS server and changed the MAC clone setting.
It it a little better, but now for some sites, where I don't put "https://www._________________", it gives me the error.
I'll have to surf the internet a little more to some other sites that might be blocked by this.
For the Wan status, do you mean the IP address, subnet mask, and the default gateway numbers?
I'm kind of starting to learn a computer a bit, but is it safe to put out those information on public?
Thank you for your help!
Update: for some reason, ths ISP changed to Open Computer Network

Yes, you can try to clone the PC's MAC address to the C6 WAN if you can access those websites successfully when connect the PC directly to that Ethernet cable from the wall.
You can also try to change the MTU size to 1420 or 1400, save and reboot the C6 to confirm.
That is OK, if the above doesn't help, we may continue to discuss this via email, then you can share me with those info on the C6, no need to post on the community.
