The model is AC750 Dual Band WiFi Range Extender. I have plugged it in next to the router, downloaded the app, powered it up, it can't find it when it searches for the extender through the app and I can't understand what the issue is.

Hi,

Please go to the wireless settings and search for the default Wi-Fi name of the extender like TP-Link Extender_xxxx and get connected.

Then go back to the APP and check again.
