Dear Community!

 

i using an RE200 extender since summer with an Archer C7 v4 router. It has no issue till december. In the last one month it keeps turning off once a day and its not enough to unplug/replug but I need to keep press the reset button as well. 
 

fun fact: even i press the reset, it keeps the settings. 
 

its happening daily and I getting frustrated. 
 

latest firmware always installed. 
 

any idea how to fix?

Hi, thanks very much for your feedback.

Could you please help me check the following details:

1. how about the firmware version for the RE200 v5

2. when it kept turning off, would you notice all the lights turn off, then back on?

3. as for the reset, did you mean it would still keep the previous Wi-Fi name and internet configuration?

4. What are the devices connected to the RE200?

--by the way, how did you reset the RE200: hold the reset pinhole for 10s when it is powered on, right?

The firmware version is: 1.0.7 Build 20200922 rel: 39466

 

when i realize that the connection go all the leds are turn off and remain off. Even i unplug and replug, its not starting to boot. 
 

maybe i not holding for 10second, but the only way to turn on is that press and hold the reset button until a Led turns on. After that the boot is okay and the configured network appear. 
 

on the RE200 not much device connected and basically only ios devices use that network. The router (archer a7) serve the TV, Nas, Playstation and several notebook (w10 and macos).
