Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.9 Build 20200708 rel.5503

Our ISP change our router from Netgear to the AX50.

Some of the devices can connect to it but not my Asus UX310U notebook. Asus said, upgrading the intel wireless adapter does not make a difference as hardware cannot pick up the wifi 6 signal.

is this true?

Is there a way we can "turn off" wifi 6 on this model and use regular wifi instead? If so, how do we do it? our speed before was fine so we don't need wifi 6 for now

thanks

Dave

@CoreStaples

Hi, you can give that a go if ASUS suggested disabling AX mode on the AX50, you can choose 802.11 b/g/n mixed for the 2.4G (if you want to connect to 5G, choose 802.11 a/n/ac mixed), then reboot the AX50 to confirm.

If this doesn't help, you can also try to modify the wireless channel on the AX50, choose channel 1/6/11 for the 2.4G, and 36/40/44 for 5G.
