Model: Archer AX20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.20

The 5ghz band is unstable the clients connected to it frequently disconnect and even ask for password again. The second thing is tp link id unbinds from the router again and again which makes it un manageble on the cloud app (theter).

Hello, do you mean the Smart Connect is off on the AX20, while the 5G is still disconnecting? What are the devices need to connect to the 5G network?

Have you already updated the AX20 firmware to the latest? If not, please update it:

Archer AX20 V1.0: https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/archer-ax20/v1/#Firmware

Archer AX20 V1.20: https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/archer-ax20/v1.20/#Firmware

If this doesn't help, please verify how did you recover the 5G connection? Do you need to power cycle the AX20?

Thanks for getting back. May I know what are the 5G devices that connect to the AX20 network? Are they all experiencing the same disconnect at the same time? Please try to login to the web interface of the AX20, change the wireless channel to 36/44, channel width to 40MHz, security to WPA/WPA2-Personal, WPA2-PSK, AES, then reboot the AX20 and reconnect to confirm.

If the above doesn't help, and it is not that troublesome, please reset the AX20 to factory defaults on System Tools>>Factory Defaults, then reconfigure it from scratch to confirm again.
