Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.6 Build 20200902 rel.65591(4555)

My router constantly emitting hidden network. I saw on the tplink community that it is for a feature called One mesh. But I didn't have any such devices. So I want to turn it off but I don't find any option to turn the one mesh feature off. Please help. I don't want my router to emit such signals. How to stop the hidden network?

I just delete the mac addresses for security purpose but I can confirm that the hidden network is emitting from my archer c6 as they have the alomost same mac address and everything.

Hello, as mentioned in the previous reply that this option could be available in the new firmware, while we cannot give an ETA now.

If you want to disable the hidden network on the Archer C6, please refer to this post to install the beta firmware for your Archer C6 router, then you will be able to disable the Onemesh hidden network:

A new FW is expected (no ETA) that should allow turning OFF that feature.

Thank you for your reply. Is this same for all the routers with one mesh features?

No, some of the devices supporting OneMesh feature already have that functionality - check this feature request.

Thank you for your help. I became really confuse when I called the Tplink customer care. They didn't even understand the problem. They tried remote connection but still they have no idea whats going on. And the worst part is their fake promises. Every time I called they told that an engineer or so called experienced engineer will call me but no one ever contacted me. I contacted them 4 times. And every time they told me same lies. This is my first tplink purchase, I don't know about the product quality but now I know that their support is worst and full of idiots. Its best not to recommend tplink to anyone. And once again thank you for your help

Hello, apologies for the feedback about the unpleasant experience with the interaction with the customer care.

As suggested by Ivaylo that this emitting hidden network will be improved in the future firmware, you will have the permission to disable it via the web interface, please keep an eye on the official website or on your router web GUI.

Have a nice day.
