Firmware Version: 1.4.9 Build 201003 Rel.55402n(4555)

Dear All,

I was a happy user of old versions of TP-Link routers. It was almost invinceble but from model to model I face much more and new issues. In my bran new (today bought model - second one cause first had HW issue and died after few hours after connection) Archer C80. So my plan was simple connect , configure like old one. forget. Almost all was done but I faced one topic to configure local management via HTTPS. I search for all options read manuals and ... can't find it in my router. Most funny is that if I write in Search box phrase HTTPS I received:

But when I click no matter which one option It redirect me to page administration but there is no such options there.

Could you support? Or at least tell me that this model doesn't have https (which will be very bad and sad news reg. security).

Thank you in advance for all answers,

BR,

Sebastian,

@Dertit

Thank you for posting on the TP-Link Community.

As confirmed with the developers, the Archer C80 doesn't support local or remote management via https, while all the data and traffic are encrypted with RSA security, so no worries about the security when loggin to the web interface.

I hope this makes sense, good day.

HI @Kevin_Z

Thank you very much for your answer. Can you share more technical information about this encryption? I am very interested how it is done to ensure that password share via WiFI is not readable by anyone during Man in the middle attack.

Thank you in advance,

BR,
Sebastian,
