Hello all,

 

I just got my FTTH fiber broadband Internet connection plugged at home !

 

When connected to my ISP router Wifi, I get a connection of about 600Mbps (pretty cool), but when connected to the Wifi of any of my 3 Deco P9, I only get 200Mbps max, usually around 100-130Mbps.

 

I searched many places over the Web but can't find any solution to my problem.

 

Is it a known issue ? Can I do anything to improve the Wifi of my Deco P9s ?

Hi,

Did the Deco P9 work on the wireless router mode or access point mode?

Have you tested the Ethernet speed from the main Deco as well and how about the wireless speed from the main Deco?

How about the speed-test on the Deco APP?

Please make sure the QoS is setup to standard and no higher priority is enabled.

@TP-Link 

  • Deco P9 works on router mode (not ideal you may say, as my ISP router is "above")
  • Ethernet speed from main Deco caps my laptop at 100Mbps for an unknown reason (I tried updating the Gigabit network card drivers, without success)
  • Wireless speed from main Deco is satisfying (300-400Mbps), in contrary to what I said in my first post. It's the satellite Decos that are limited
  • I can't find the speed-test on the Deco app
  • QoS set to standard, no higher priority

Edit : I tested ethernet speed with another laptop (showing Gigabit connection in Windows this time), the main Deco shows satisfying values (~400Mbps) but satellite Decos "only" show 200-250Mbps

@Alandor Did you find a solution ? I have the same problem. 950Mbs on my router, and 200Mbps with the principal P9 and 200 as well with the other 2...
