I just set up my RE300 and it has created two networks. (Network)_2.4GEXT and (Network)_EXT. 

What is the difference between these and which one is better to use? They both also say 'weak security' when connected to them on my iPad, is this an issue?

Hi,

Since RE300 is dual-band extender, could you please check on the APP whether they are wireless SSID for 2.4ghz and 5ghz?

As for the weak  security issue, please make sure your current firmware is up to date:
