Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 Build 20201211 Rel. 42330

Hi,

Today I updated the firmware of my three-pack Deco M9Plus V2 from version "1.4.3 Build 20200921 Rel. 42500" to "1.5.0 Build 20201211 Rel. 42330".
Now suddenly the set does not seem to recognize/find my Philips Hue system.

Before the update it worked flawlessly.

The Hue hub is connected to the main Deco with an ethernet cable and a switch (TP-Link TL-SG108).
Cable length does not exceed 2 meters.

Is this an issue in the firmware or did I just skip a step in the update process?

Can anyone help me?

Edit:
Not only the Philips Hue cannot be found, also a medical device that needs a connection to the hospital fails to connect.
URGENT: How can I downgrade back to "1.4.3 Build 20200921 Rel. 42500"??

Looks like I solved it.

How it worked in 1.43?
In the Philips Hue app I had switched off the DCHP option and provided a fixed IP-address.
In the Deco app I had not reserved an IP-address for my Hue hub.

In order to solve my issue I tried several things.
This is what eventually did the trick in 1.50:
In the Deco app I made an address reservation for the Hue hub.

! then removed the fixed IP-address in the Hue app by switching the DCHP option on again.

In this way it is the Deco who decides which (reserved) IP-address is assigned.

After that, the Hue hub could be found again by the Deco app.

And why the medical device did not work anymore?
Unfortunately I have no idea.
I did switch off the mesh option for that device and it worked again.

I do however think there still is an issue with the 1.50 firmware.

I have a Raspberry Pi connected with a ethernet calbe that is running 24/7.

The Deco app however sometimes displays it as "offline" although I can reach it via it's IP-address.

Hope the above helps for others with this issue. ;-)

Thank you very much for sharing.

And More advice:

If you still failed to add Philips Hue bridges as the smart devices when Deco M9 plus is on the access point mode, please try to update the following firmware:

please feel free to update here with further improvements.

Thank you very much.
