Huge Problem with Ports C80 Router totally useless like this
I have a now router the c80.
If i try to forward PORT 1701 for VPN, it tells me "Conflicting with existing port: 1701. To avoid conflict, please enter another value."
Please help me and all the other ppl with the same Problem.
Like this, the router is useless and i need to send it back.
SOLUTION:
I made a few times the Factory reset with the same settings all the time.
Now it still brings the error, but the Port is open.

Check this link - that maybe the reason you can't open 1701 UDP port on the router.

Hi, May I know why do you want to enable port 1701? Was there any L2TP VPN server behind the C80?
Would it work if we open the DMZ for the L2TP host?
Just confirming, no matter which port opened for the UDP protocol for the L2TP host, the error message would show up, right?
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

@Kevin_Z Yes, i have a synology behind and i want to use it as an VPN Server. L2TP.
It was working perfect with my old tp link Archer c6.
If i open DMZ für the host it still tells me "Conflicting with existing port: 1701. To avoid conflict, please enter another value." when i try to add 1701.
I hope you have a solution soon, i need to send the router back and write a Review, so that no one else falls for this :(

Kevin's idea was to setup DMZ to the host in question, try to establish a VPN connection and see if it works (without trying to open the 1701 port).
What I wanted to point out is the following paragraph from the link posted:
" When the process is complete, L2TP packets between the endpoints are encapsulated by IPsec. Since the L2TP packet itself is wrapped and hidden within the IPsec packet, the original source and destination IP address is encrypted within the packet. Also, it is not necessary to open UDP port 1701 on firewalls between the endpoints, since the inner packets are not acted upon until after IPsec data has been decrypted and stripped, which only takes place at the endpoints. "
It could be an issue with that particular router model, but I think it was worth mentioning that.

@Ivaylo i have done it and it is not working. No VPN Connection.
It must be a problem with exactly this router, cause with the old one it works perfect, with all kind of fritzbox it works.
Must be something with just this model.
