Archer C6U 1200 "Half Speeds" Over Wi-Fi on 1Gbit
Hello,
few months ago i bought Archer C6U 1200 MU-MIMO and i was using a broadband speed of 100 Mbit. Everything was fine.
Today i move up to 1Gbit broadband and i have the "half speed" issue over Wi-Fi.
Over the 2,4GHz frequency, the speed (numbers are rounded) is at:
1) Laptop (Windows) - 80 down and 90 up
2) Phone (iOS) - 40 down and 50 up
3) mac Mini (Late 2012) - 80 down and 0 up
Over the 5GHz frequency, the speed (numbers are rounded) is at:
1) Laptop (Windows) - can't connect to it...because of reasons...few days ago i was capable of doing it, but mainly i use the 2,4GHz on the laptop....anyway, i gave up on it.
2) Phone (iOS) - 220 down and 200 up
3) mac Mini (Late 2012) - 180 down and 220 up
Over cable connection on the laptop, i get 940 down and 960 up without the router being connected anywhere.
Using a cable connection through the routers LAN ports the speed is 890 down and 940 up.
I used the same cable (cat 5e) which is comming out from the modem/media coverter, just to drop the possibility of the cable to be te issue.
I've tried variaty of channels (1,2,6,11,36,44,48)/channel widths(20,40,80)/modes(b, g, n, ac..) with different encryptions for both of the 2,4GHz and 5GHz networks and i can't say that there was a change at all.
My Internet Port Negotiation was set to Auto Negotiation as default, but i did change it to 1000 full duplex and still no change.
I saw different posts on the forum from people having the same issue but on differet devices. I have tried some of the proposed solutions (which were mainly the things i already tried), but still no change. I did like the idea of changing to beta firmware, but i don't know from where to get it for my device.
Currenty im losing brain cells and i can't think of trying something else...im at the point where "its maybe the firmware or maybe the device is faulty".
Anyone actually stumble upon a fix regarding this issue?
