Hello.

 

I have a 3 unit deco P7 mash set up at my house. The network is working fine, except for video calls and gaming. The problem is package loss. Every 10 seconds or so a package is dropped or delayed (3000 ms) Which makes it useless for gaming and very annoying when doing zoom, skype, or similar online live calls.

 

I have googled the problem and even if I have found many with the same problem, none of these offer a solution, other than giving up.

I now go to the source :) Is there a solution to this problem? Is there a fix that works?

 

I don't know the hardware version and the firmware was updated today.

Hi,

Have you tried to disable the Mesh technology for mobile devices?

And please also turn off the fast roaming beamforming on the Deco app;

Could you please send some pictures here about the delayed ping and packet loss?

Would the Ethernet connection from the Deco have the same issue?

Please also draw a picture of the network structure of Deco units;

Thanks for the tips.

 

I disabled the beamforming option. The mesh for mobile tech option, I could not find. My app is in Norwegian, so the translation could be the reason for me not finding this.

However, it looks like disabling beamforming helped. or at least the first ping test looks promising.

I will do some more testing later today, and if the problem is still there I will provide the rest of the information.

Hello again.

 

I was a bit optimistic. The problem is not solved, not completely at least.

The ping looked better, but I think that was just a coincidence.

 

My current setup is like this:

 

 

The PC is connected to the deco by an ethernet cable thru another router

 

 

Hope this makes sense and you can give some good advice that will work.
