@DanielRos

Hi,

I am afraid there is no local API available.

Thank you very much for your understanding and support.

@TP-Link I do not have any understanding at all. Why is there no API?

@TP-Link For real? The lack of an public API for a system like this is unacceptable. Are there no plans to have one available? If not, I and many others will be forced to sell our Deco systems in favor of a Ubiquiti Unifi solution.

@mclain114

Hi, is there any special reason that you require API?

Currently, there is no public API available for M5.

@TP-Link I want to use Deco with Home Assistant (An open source home automation OS) so I can see the network usage, kick users from the guest network, etc.

@TP-Link Due to the lack of being able to track bandwidth usage by device, I need this to understand what devices are consuming bandwidth. Also the memory leaks in the code on the M5s last year as stated would be great to remotely reboot as the app reboot worked about 50% of the time.  These are things I feel should have been table stakes in a product of this price band. Please get these added as soon as possible.

I actually have both Deco X60s and X20s rather than M5s. But, I feel the request for an overall Deco API for more granular control over our networks is a reasonable request. I'm not asking that TP-Link builds out any new additional features. Just the ability for users to build our own 3rd party solutions to short-comings in your product's applications.
