Hello, update the issue status.
You may try the below steps, then check if the issue will be resolved:
1. Login to the web interface setup page of the AX6000, then go to Advanced > System tools > System parameters to check the AP isolation, please disable it.
2. If the AP Isolation is already disabled, then tick the mark boxes for AP isolation to activate the option, and save the setting.
3. Then unchecked the “AP isolation” options to disable AP isolation again and save the setting.
Check again if the Airplay will work in the network.

Have you changed the device configuration prior/post updating the FW ? What are your wireless security settings ?
Try these for both bands:

Can you please describe the issue in details? Does it mean the Airplay devices cannot connect to the wireless network, or they cannot communicate with each other? What are those devices?
If they cannot connect, was there an error message? You may try Ivaylo's suggestion to modify the wireless settings on the AX6000, then reboot it to confirm.
If they cannot communicate with each other, please ensure they are connected to the main network, you may connect them to the same band, then confirm. Were you able to ping the other devices from the one connected to the same band?

@Kevin_Z Thanks for your response. My case is the latter, which means the airplay devices cannot find each other in the same network. So, it's impossible to play music/video in other devices.
This issue started right after the firmware 1.2.1 update. Miracast still works, but airplay doesn't.
Before the firmware update, airplay also worked perfectly.

My target device is well connected to the AP, on the same SSID. I can connect to everything else from that device.
I also don't allow any guest devices to connect so I have AP isolation disabled.
No guest SSID either.
