Hi!

I am new to IPv6. Have not gotten any IPv6 conf from my ISP, just want to see if i can try it out a bit at home.

So i enabled IPv6 in the Archer C6, and entered a fake public address (it seems that it required that).

Under LAN, i get "invalid format" no matter what i try to enter in Address Prefix.

Any ideas? Shouldnt i be able to just enter some fd00:... address there?

@pirx

Kindly refer to the below guide to configure the IPv6 on the C6 router again:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1525/

If the connection still fails, please confirm again if the IPv6 type is Dynamic or PPPoE with your ISP. BTW, who is your ISP?

What is your network topology, is it ISP modem--C6? Is the IPv4 connection on the C6 good or not? What is the WAN IP address of it?

@Kevin_Z

Like i said, i have not gotten any IPv6 from my ISP, i just wanted to try it out a little bit in the LAN.

Anyway, just putting a dummy global subnet there seemed to work.

The format is like this

2001:1111:2222:3333::

I still dont know if it really works though:)
