Like others I have been trying to get a wired connection form my laptop to a Deco unit that is not my main unit that is connected to the router.

 

My main unit is connected to my router in the living room.

 

In my office I have another unit where I am trying to connect with an ethernet cord to my unit. It will connect over wifi but want to get the wired connection down so I can install an NVR system I am going to get for security cameras.

 

What are the steps to get this accomplished.

Hi,

There is no need for the additional setting to connect a wired device to the Deco.

But please do make sure the following details:

  1. Please make sure there is no IPTV/VLAN for this satellite Deco;
  2. The wired client Is on the DHCP, not using the static IP address;
  3. Make sure the cable is of good quality;
