Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20201228 Rel. 55057

Hello! (srry for my bad english)

I'm using DECO P9 pack of 3, since Jennuary.

I have to say that after firmware update, here the WIFI fall down every 30/60 min. After firmware update (this last 1.1.3 Build 20201228 Rel. 55057) the situation is clearly better!

Thanks.

But i have anyway this problem: somethime (frequently) the 3 Deco P9 miss each other. (RED BLINKING LED).
I can wait really 5/15 minutes but the only solution for re-bind them is phisycally unplug and re-plug to the electricity becouse from the app i can't connect to them to reboot them.

Actually, Master Deco and 2nd Deco are in wifi bridge, the third is (sems) 90% PLC and 10% WIFI, but is not this last the problem. the problem incoming on all 3 deco.

This is very frustrating. becouse i cant reboot or manage them via app. i must going physically to each Deco and reboot manually by unplugging the cable.

Since, the firmware upgrade had correct very well many disconnection problem, i think that this could be again a firm problem to fix or improve.

How can we invite Tp-Link to perform a firm improvment?

thanks.

PS.: i've updated all 3 deco P9 with success. So, now i wait to see if this could be better in these next days.

Nothing, same strange thing.

Yesterday evening, over 20 minute in no internet connection, sems there was no way to put in line the master with 2 slave.

So i'd to unplug the 2 slave and replug-in the electricity. Then they become to propagate internet again all night since now.

See attachment.

The System DECO 9 3 pack work greatly, i'm so happy about this product becouse of let me use internet in rooms that are so far from router. But this frequently disconnection make me very frustrate.

Is there a way, I can share with you a log file or something else?

I hope these disconnections could be fixed.

Hi, same problem here, its a firmware issue they need to solve. I have also tried debug firmware, better but still issues. Satellite needs reboot because they hold the connection so client can’t roam. Don’t understand why they have not solved it yet.

@Andi411  @TP-Link

I paid 300€ for this kit.... it is not cheap.

Please, solve this bug.

We wait for this, otherwise I will have to return the product and try to find another brand.

@DraftmanCorp

Hi, sorry for the delay.

Would any Deco P9 turn red when devices were connected to the Wi-Fi but no internet?

And when this issue started again, would disconnecting the Wi-Fi and connecting again temporarily stop the connection?

How often did this issue repeat, like 3-4 times a day?

At the same time, could you please help me get the following information so that we could forward your case to the senior engineers later:

1.the system log from Deco P9 on the web UI;

2.the network map on the web UI;---if possible, please also mark out the signal source of each satellite Deco, like wireless/powerline backhaul, or Ethernet backhaul;

Thank you very much.

yes, "blinking red" that meaning "no internet connection" but if i try to connect with my router wifi, yes it work with very well. Waiting for alf an our before unplugged the DECO. them sems to be really stuck.

no it happen at last 1 time for month after last firmware update. But when happen i have to go on site and unplug-replug the device becouse it is NOT reachable from app or web page. so i CAN'T reboot it via software.

1 - ok, when i return at home I get the log.

2 - ok idem.

Thank you very much and please feel free to update here with the required information;

At the same time, May I know who is your internet service provider and what is the model number of the ISP router?

Did Deco P9 work on the wireless router mode, or access point mode?

Thanks a lot.
