Hi all,

I have 3 Deco x20's in my house, I am having a problem with one of them. My network has been dropping multiple times a week so I have been having to reboot the Deco's to get the network up and running again. While doing this, one of my Deco's became stuck in a startup loop. When I plug it in, the Deco shows a yellow light then follwed by a blinking blue light. After a couple of minutes the yellow light comes back on and repeats. I thought removing this Deco from my network might resolve this problem but I have learned it will not. Now the Deco is not on my network and still in this loop, I have tried finding the Deco through the app to try and start up a new network with it to try and fix it but it simply cannot be found because of the loop.

Please, If anyone know what I can do to fix this let me know.

Thank You

@JoeSchmidt3

Hi, can I have a video clip about the loop reboot on the Deco X20?

Would a factory reset end this loop reboot issue?

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

@TP-Link the loop that the deco has been in has been occurring for the past couple of days even when I unplugged it. But from the time of my original post I unplugged my Deco (about 11 hours) and just plugged it in again.

Now the Deco somehow connected to my network again but is still in some sort of loop. Instead of looping between yellow and blue lights it now loops between yellow and red. I took a video of the deco, hopefully it can help. It just continues to loop from solid yellow to blinking red.

@ezemanzano

HI, did all 3 have the same issue or just one of them?

Can I have a video clip of this loop rebooting?

Did reset make any difference?

Have you tried the firmware recovery process here:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2958/

If still the same, please feel free to contact the shop retailer to check for a warranty;

Thank you.

@TP-Link Hey thanks for the answer, it's just one unit. I tried the two methods to reset the firmware on the link you sent but none of them seem to work (I don't get TFTP tool to work, nothing happens) and manually trying to enter to 192.168.0.1 get me a timed out error.  I bought it on Amazon on a vacation in the US, I don't think I can get a replacement unit in Argentina where I live

@ezemanzano

In this way, the devices sold in the US are covered by 2 years warranty, later if you went to the US again, you might take the Deco with you.

For more details about the warranty, you could have a check with the US technical hotline:

https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/contact-technical-support/#Warranty-Support

Thank you very much.
