I want to buy a WiFi mesh m4 (pack 3) but I have this doubt: when I activate the mac filtering (white list - entered in the configuration by IP) do I have to add the mac to all the decos? each deco m4 has a whitelist and I have to add the mac to each one? Or do they share the white list and configuration since I suppose that the ip of the three must be the same?

Hi, currently, Deco does not support the whitelist, only the blacklist available yet.

As for the blacklist, all the Deco units share the same settings;

@TP-Link Every tp link modem has a configuration by IP: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254.

My question is: In this type of configuration do decos share the white list?

Sorry, there might be some misunderstanding.

Did you mean to set up Mac filtering(whitelist) on the front router for Deco units? In the beginning, I thought you need to do the whitelist settings on the Deco APP;

If yes, Each Deco would get a different IP address from the front router so you might need to put the IP address as well as the corresponding MAC address on the whitelist of the front router;

@TP-Link I just attached an image, the decos M4 don't have that type of configuration (IP)? and if they have that configuration the 3 decos M4 share the mac filter list?  

 

 

because if they share the list in the app they should share the list also in the configuration by ip, I was asking this because if not, I would have to add the mac address to each deco :c and that is very tedious jeje

The Decos don't have that type of configuration (whiltelist by MAC address).

 

For any type of configuration that Decos have, such as blacklist by MAC address, you only enter it once and it is shared between all Decos on your home network.
