When using the RE505X as an extender, it works just fine with my ASUS router. I need to use it as an access point. When switching mode to AP, it can not any longer connect to the router. It ask for an IP address and the router is sending it, but the RE505X will not accept it. Just switch it back to extender mode and it will work again. Another funny thing is that it will never show up in my router list when its working in extender mode so I can not se what IP address it has. All other devices smart tv, pc, mobiles etc show up, but this unit does not. Its something wrong with its software.
