Archer C6 ethernet internet 100Mbps duplex insted of 1000Mbps.
Hi,
so today I've bought Archer C6 router and from yesterday I should have 1Gbps internet from provider, but no matter what i try to setup in my router or network card i can't go beyond 100Mbps.
I've tried different 5e cables, other PC, advanced (automatic and manual) duplex settings in router software and others solutions found in google.
My LAN ports in router are showing 1Gbps so that's OK.
I'm connected Provider cable => router => cable to PC
Is there a possiblity that provioder didn't switch from 100Mbps (that's the speed that I had earlier) to 1000Mbps internet and that is the root cause?
Any idea?

issue is solved. All (8) necessary installation cables was not connected to the socket and that's why I had only 100Mbps :)
Once again thank you for your help.

What if you connect the Provider cable to the PC directly, will you negotiate 1000Mbps? Please show us the screenshot if it is.
If the modem negotiates fine when connected to the PC directly, but failed to do that when connecting to the C6, please tell us the model number of the ISP modem, as well as the Ethernet adapter on the PC.
BTW, please show us the screenshot about the Negotiation speed on the C6 when both the ISP modem and the PC are connected to its WAN and LAN correctly.

I'll be able to post screens later today, but:
I've MSI X470 gaming plus so it is capable of 1000Mbps.
"What if you connect the Provider cable to the PC directly, will you negotiate 1000Mbps?" I'm still limited to 100Mbps, even if I change adapter duplex to 1000Mbps.

I've tried all possible duplex negotiation options, when I'm on auto:
Internet: 100Mbps full duplex
LAN 1: 100Mbps full duplex
When I'm on 1000:
Internet: 100Mbps full duplex
LAN 1: 1000Mbps full duplex

This is the problem. It seems your modem port is the bottleneck, you need to confirm that first.

I think also that this possibly is the root cause, I've already contacted provider and they'll check that.
I'll let know what is the outcome, for now thank you for your help :)
