That's a wonderful router on the paper! Really it has some problems with the wireless connection and the dhcp server.
After 2 days of i must forced to reset the router because it refuse any wireless connection while the internet browsing on the other pc connected via ethernet ARJ45 is very slow..
To complete the scenario the router doesn't allow any acces to his console page ..so what's the problem?

I try to change any channel for the wireless without no positive result.

I bought it on amazon but if this situation will continue without any solution from tp-link i will forced to send it back with a totally negative feedback on the product.

Is it possible to reset the modem ? .Sometimes, after the firmware upgrade, then the reset and set it up from the beginning will give a better perfance. http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/?model=TD-W8970&version=V1#tbl_j

I also just bought the same router to Amazon, my country is Spain, and it is exactly the same, so I upgraded to the latest firmware 130201 and I've reset several times but still the same problem.

Please fix this, it is very annoying or you'll have to return this router with my negative opinion.:mad:

Do you have new firmware version in router? Can you check this? What is your wireless configuration. Give us some screenshot.

Just bought this last week.
Not had this issue apart from noticing that when trying to browse with my laptop to the edge of my house even with a good signal strength in the windows taskbar, the internet pages where not loading or loading very slowly. With my previous Wireless G router although I had the same sort of limitation but whenever I had signal showing I could still load pages so in a way there is a false detection in how well this works when getting distant from the router. I understood that Wireless N tends to be like this in respect to the G type where the bandwidth is largely improved but in terms of distance is not as good as it shows to be in your task manager wireless connection monitor.

but still i get the problem occurs....

this router is amazing and i a rely want to fix it...

Note: i did reset it but it didn't help, the problem still occurs....

So after the modem has been working for some time, your wireless devices can not access Internet wirelessly and you need to restart the modem? Can the wireless devices still detect and connect to the wireless network?

What are the model numbers of the devices?
What is the security type of the wireless network?
If your computers are still wired to the modem, does it have Internet access?
