My current version of my Deco M9 Plus V2.0 is 1.5.1 Build 20210126 Rel. 59387.

I am trying to upgrade it to 1.5.3_210309 by it fails over and over.

 

- downloaded latest FW from TP-link site [https://www.tp-link.com/nl/support/download/deco-m9-plus/v2/#Firmware]
- open webpage of Deco M9 Plus V2.0 device.

- select Device Model M9Plus

- select the bin file

- click [UPGRADE]

 

 

After the file has been uploaded I get this error

 

 

No clue why it fails...

 

I tried [M9Plus_2.0_upgrade_tool_v1.2.0_win.exe] but I am not able to login... 

 

Has someone having the same issue?

Has someone any idea how to upload this file?

Hi, I checked your TP-Link ID and there are some of them on V1 and some of them on V2, and the main Deco is on V1;

So did you log into the web UI of the V2 satellite Deco and upload the correct firmware for different hardware version:

the 1.5.3 firmware for V1 has not been released yet.

@TP-Link Correct, my main deco is a Deco M9Plus V1. I uploaded the FW via the GUI of the V2 satellite.

 

I also tried to upload FW 1.5.1 for the V2 and seems to have the issue frown

@TP-Link Found the problem ... You are right, I tried to update the wrong room, this is a V1. I was convinced that I was using the correct IP address ...

 

 

It would be nice if the HW / FW versions and Device Name is visible at th GUI of the satellites.

This can prevent mistakes like I made... wink

The GUI of the satellite does not show the information like the GUI of the main device like the image from my previous post.

It would be good to have the same information available in each satellite's GUI.
