I'm currently using a the archer AX11000 as my router and the virgin super hub 4 as a modem. 
 

I cannot for the life of me get the ipv6 working. 
 

has anyone had any success with this ?

If the connection still fails, please ensure you have activated the IPv6 service with Virgin and all the IPv6 parameters are correct, then verify the information as below:
1. Is the virgin super hub 4 working at bridge mode or as a pure modem?
2. Is the IPv4 connection on the AX11000 good or not? What is the WAN IP address of it?
3. Is the IPv6 connection type the same as IPv4? What is it?
