How to connect another router to M9 Plus

How to connect and configure another spare router I have to Deco M9?
The purpose to do that is to run another Wifi of different SSID (2.4Ghz) to connect smart switches/devices.
This is because some of the devices not playing well with M9 Mesh network. Some can connect, but appears wonky.
Edit: So my everyday devices like phone, TV and others will connect to M9 SSID while the smart switches and appliances will connect to the router SSID.

You can use Deco Guest network to have different SSID with just WiFi 2.4GHz, for devices that can't handle dual band networks well. This is what I've done with my M9s.
I also disabled 2.4GHz on Main network, so that my devices which can use 5GHz will always use it, without Deco band steering trying to move them to 2.4GHz.

Hi, did your spare wireless router also TP-Link?
You could connect the second router via Ethernet cable to one of the ports of Deco M9 plus;
If this router supported access point, it would be much better and there would not be double NAT issue;
Thank you.
