Model: RE650
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I've been using the RE650 WiFi extender for a couple of weeks, and I have it connected to my PC through Ethernet (5GHz). I get the full download/upload speed from the hosting device, but the problem is that the ping spikes almost every few minutes. Is there a way to reduce or get rid of these spikes? Will changing the extender's location affect them? even though it's in a perfect location and it's getting a very strong signal from hosting device.

@Seff Hello,

Here is the latest firmware for RE650, please make sure it has the latest firmware:

There might be some wireless inference between Router & RE. For a test you could put RE 2-3 meters  away from main router and see if the problem persist.

It is better that RE has a different SSID from main router to exclude the problem. At RE's location, if you connect the same device to router's WiFi, does the ping spike?

Can you share with us the photo of the ping spike on router & RE when you test at RE's location, thank you.
