Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20210125 rel.37999(5553)

 I can see a strange behaviour with my C7. Everytime my ISP fails access for some reason, i got my conection speed reduced. I have now a 300/300 Mbps connection and when my ISP fails access, after they solve their issues, my download/upload speed cannot go higher than 250 Mbps.

 So, to solve this issue, i have to get in my router config, turn on the IGMP Proxy ON, wait for the router to save the config and, right after i have to turn it OFF, wait for router save and than, my connection gets 300/300.

 So the question is, what's causing that? I don't use IGMP Proxy; IGMP Snooping or IPTV configuration on the router. Is this a bug in the firmware?

 Thank you very much!

@Pinho

What if you just power off the router, then power it back on, will the speed be back to normal?

Are there any advanced settings on the router, such as QoS? You may disable it, then monitor again.

 Powercyclying the router won't solve this issue unfortunately. The only way is doing as i said before. It took a long time for me to find this "solution".

 I don't use QoS as it's uncompatible with Nat Boost and i've tested it.

Have you ever used another router in this network before, was it working properly when the ISP line was done then recover? As this sounds more like an issue on the ISP side, while we don't know why disabling IGMP Proxy then enabling it helps.

We will report the issue to the support engineers, they will likely reach out to you via email to confirm it.
