Dear,

Recently I have issues with my Wifi network connection for both 2,4GHz and 5Ghz.

Device connected via Wifi are having connection to router but there is no connection to internet,

in the same time devices connected via LAN cable are having internet connection available.

 

After hard reset situation is improved some period of time and then once again it goes back to stat as above, wifi on, internet off.

 

I did factory reset to restore basic setup, setup Wifi network once again and situation is repeating, no change.

I also extended addres lease time to 24h, but still no imrpovement.

I need to reinstal also my Hue Bridge for Ambilight after each reset and this is starting to become frustating for me.

 

Firmware installed on router is latest one.

 

Anu ideas what can be the issue and what I co do to diagnose the problem?

Can you please confirm when the 2.4G&5G stops working, are you able to ping the router on the devices? Will the connection recover if you just power off then power on the router? Try to modify the wireless settings on the router, such as wireless channel, channel width, and security, you can check the guide below:

How many wireless devices connect to the 2.4G&5G network? What are they?


When did you purchase the router? Does the issue happen when you first purchased it, or it occurs recently? When the 2.4G and 5G stops working, while the wired connection still works, can you please confirm if the internet LED on the router is always green? Who is your ISP?

@Kevin_Z Thank you for your replay.

 

1. I will check if I can ping router when internet is down on it.

2. After simply power down and power up devices reconnect and internet is available.

3. This weekend and changed setting for channels and channel width from "Auto" to fixed settings (can chechi which when back in home)

4. There are usually around 5-6 devices connected via wireless (3 Android phones, 1 Iphone, 1 laptop and 1Hue Bridge) there are also 2 wired deviced connected.

5.Router is at my hand for like 23 month right now, almost end of warranty period.

6.Issue started to appear more often recently around 1 month ago.

7. When internet is down internet LED on the router is  green and modem form ISP is also showing that link between both devices is established.

8.I use cable network operator as my internet provider via modem delivered by them.
