Its connect with main network but not provide the necessary net speed and slow down the speed. Only 2.4Ghz light is on and 5GHz light off. Wrost product by tp link wastage of money.

If you have a dual- band router, it is recommended to reset RE and set it up again, during the set-up process, RE will scan for router's 5Ghz, and you could put in router 5Ghz Wi-Fi password to connect to it.
RESET: with RE powered on, use a pin to push the reset hole until all the Leds flash once.
Follow instructions on Tether app or Web page step by step ( carefully examine the Wi-Fi password you have put in, and it is recommended to create a different SSID/WiFi name for RE)
