Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20210125 rel.37999(4555)

Hey guys,

I'm trying to change my DNS server on my Archer C7 to my Raspberry Pi running Pi-Hole, which I have given a static IP address, to remove ads while I am browsing.

Unfortunately I am unable to change the DNS server IP to my Raspberry Pi (192.168.0.100), I have added a picture of the error below.

After some research, I believe this is a security feature to stop you using a DNS server which is on the same subnet called DNS Rebind Protection. However, I cannot find a way to turn this off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

@oasiss

Apparently you need to go into the submenu "DHCP Server" and put the IP address of the Raspberry in the DNS field(s) there.
