Model: Archer T2U Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

For context, I dont know what version I have. I have the latest drivers installed.

I bought the t2u plus about 1 year ago, and since ~1 month ago the wifi antenna will randomly disconnect from my 5ghz network and refuse to connect to any other network until i manually disable and re-enable the wifi on my pc ( I have to turn off the wifi and turn it back on locally for it to actually want to connect to anything). I know that this is not a router problem;  I have other computers and phones which do not get kicked when my antenna stops working. I believe the issue might be with my antenna, and not the router because i cant connect to any other network when my antenna kicks me off my wifi.

@princery Hello,

As this adapter used to be working it is recommended to fix router's wifi channel on 5Ghz and lower 5Ghz channel width to 40Mhz, you could scan for 5Ghz wifi using APP like WiFi analyzer and select a good channel for router.

May I know the model of router and did you recently change router Wi-Fi settings or upgrade Windows version?

@Solla-topee  I lowered it to 40, and it is still happening. I have a arris tr4400. I am on the latest version of windows, with the latest drivers for my antenna. I am connected to one of the green channels when looking at the wifi analyzer app.

@princery  Hello,

Thank you for your reply, you could try 5Ghz channel 36/40/44/48, not on DFS channel or it could be unstable

Turn off Band steering/ Whole Home WiFi/ Channel or WiFi optimzing on the main router if there is any.

DFS channel introduction : https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/763/

Please try this latest chipset driver for  and see if help with the issue:

Below is the instruction to manually install driver:  https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/920/

If problem still exist,  help us check the  computer motherboard info and send us the photos, thank you!  https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/
