Hi,

 

I am facing a weird speed problem with the UE300 Gigabit USB network adapter.
I have an Archer C1200 and Archer A7 router.
Archer C1200 is my old router which I am using for the last 1.5 years and A7 is the new one, I just bought it a week back. Before that, I also tried A6 but returned.

I am on a 100Mbps plan.
Whenever I use Archer C1200 and connect my laptop with the UE300 adapter, I get 100+ Mbps Up/Down speed on every server on SpeedTest. But when I connect it to some other router (I tried A6- two different routers, now using A7.), I hardly get 40-50Mbps download speed, the upload seems fine most of the time.

 

On WiFi, the speed is fine. I also tried using the adapter on a different laptop (MacBook pro RD 16- 2019).
The speed is a little better there but in comparison to C1200, still slow.

 

Any help is appreciated.

@DavidRay  Hello, 

Thank you for your detailed post! Here are some suggestions which you could give it a try: 

Make sure you use the same Ethernet cable when wire UE300 computer to the C1200/ A7 router

Also try a different Ethernet cable when connect to Archer A7 

May I know do you use the driver that automatically found by Windows or did you manually install the driver , you could try to uninstall current driver and try the Auto Installation Program from link of UE300 driver here:  https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/ue300/

Yes, I am using the same cable with C1200 and A7 routers.

I have also tried several different cables. All have the same result.

 

At first, I was on the auto-installed driver. then I updated the driver from the link you just posted, But still, there is no change in results.

About sharing the Motherboard and picture of it, Sorry, I do not understand what do you mean by this.

I am using Samsung Notebook 9 - Model: NP900X3N-K04US - 16GB RAM version.

@DavidRay I also have the same router. I want to complain that it does not load data from the Internet very well. Recently I wanted to read and download a book on a helpfull resource, but the Internet apparently did not want this. So help to solve the problem please. Because I want to read.

hello hope you doing i were also facing the same problem for 4 month i was tired from this problem then someone tell me about the Tplink TL-WR820N 300Mbps Wireless i ordered it  this was  so perfect and providing the 250Mbps i was amazed to see this now im totally satisfies from this this. i am very thankful who gave me this i would like to suggest and it will also work.
