Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20200908 rel.69273(5553)

Hi all,

just recently bought AX73 together with Deco M4 to eliminate blindspot in the house. However upon completing the setup I found that

the 5ghz network from AX73 is way to slow in the range of 100+mbps when compare to the mesh deco m4 which getting around 300+mbps. ive change the setiings but the result is still the same. im getting around 60-80mbps on 2.4ghz from the ax73.

im not sure what is missing here but how could the direct 5ghz connection is slower than mesh m4 is giving.  any thoughts before i send the router for warranty claim?

@joshx6

How are the AX73 and Deco M4 connected to the network? Which is the main router/gateway?

When the phone or laptop connects to the AX73 5G network, how about the link speed on it? Is it normal as that when it connects to the M4? You can try to install and run an app like Wi-Fi Analyzer on your phone or laptop and test, then set a channel with less congestion according to the test results on the AX73.
