Solution VR300 | Errors (pkts) increases after ~ 12 hours of usage. Download bitrate drops down dramatically
Hello,
have already post about this problem in this thread, but probably is better to create a new one since we are talking about a different model.
Problem is that after ~ 12 hour of work the Errors (pkts) count moves from zero and goes wild (after this night was around ~1200000 ).
The speed of download bitrate dramatically start to decrease as well.
The only 2 found solution is either to restart the modem or unplug and replug the vdsl cable to reset internet connection.
after a reboot the situation is this one [ full performance in pagespeed (40 mbps down, 7.7 mbps up) ]
After ~12 hours the errors start to spawn and the download rate decreased to less than 4 mbps download (!!), upload value is the same.
Other Notes:
Am not using any telephone nor dsl filter, just the vdsl cable connect directly to the router.
The problems happens also for my ethernet connected Desktop PC (errors pkts + download speed drammaticaly decreased)... this is definitely not only a WiFi issue.

Hi,
1. Please provide more details about the issue, like speed drops when the downstream error(pkts) raising up? how often does it happen?
2. The internet service provider and the specific DSLAM information which you could get from ISP.
3. When the issue happens, log in to the web-based interface of the modem. Check DSL Status. Please take a screenshot of the Status page for further help.
In addition, the error(ptks) raising up means there is much noise on the DSL line, so please contact your ISP to check the line as well.

@Sunshine Hi Sunshine, I recently bought the TP-Link VR300 and I'm noticing an insane amount of errors on ADSL2+, where the connection also resets every couple of minutes, on ADSL2 it's much more stable with a little bit of errors.
The above was not happening on my older router (0 errors)
How can we solve this issue? I'm already on the newest software version so I can't try the beta software that was posted earlier, also my HW version is 2.0

1. May I know who your ISP is? and may I have a screenshot of the Errors when using ADSL2+?
2. Do you mean the ADSL2+ connection drops every couple of minutes and internet stops working? If so, may I have a screenshot of the whole Status page and system log file when the connection drops? and will it recover automatically or you have to start the VR300 to get DSL and internet connection again?
3. Please provide the firmware version of your VR300 V2.0 for records, I will also double-check if it is the latest one

i have also high amount of downstream errors and connection resets often.
The modem is only couple of month old.
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1 v00a1.0 Build 220321 Rel.60385n
Hardware Version: Archer VR400 v3 00000002
Is there any new firmware for this model which i can try ?

@Sunshine i experience both i think, not sure what influence it , but sometimes disconnect, sometimes became slow. But even if it disconnects, the line still remain synchronized (i checked this also with adsl provider, which is Wia Czec, they say line is synchronized without issue). And on attached screenshots you can see that there is always very big error rate on download, but upload is without any error. Attaching logs from last 2 issues.
I scheduled automatic daily reboot on modem, so now it is better, but i think it is not solution, and still so many errors on download.

Is TPLink making a new firmware update for VR600 v3 (and other products) to solve the DSL connection issue?
I myself have 2 relatively new bought VR600 v3's which both have huge amount of error packets on the downlink at my parents house (not at my house). The ISP is the same for me and my parents.
When I read all the tplink forum posts, it looks like a lot of VRx00 modems from TPlink has the error packets for some DSL connections. Also (me as a embedded system developper) I found a thing curious: the people that have error packets, will not have them directly when the modem is online, but will have them after 12hours+ of being online. Which lets me think it is not entirely related to the DSL line or ISP, but the modem hardware/firmware which start to cause issues after 12hours+ of being online. Other modems on the same DSL/ISP connection generate zero errors. So my conclusion is a hardware and/or firmware issue in VRx00 products.

I have same issue on VR 400 v3 vdsl router.
After 12 hours I get huge surge of errors on downstream.

@TP-Link Hello . i did what you said. and I downloaded the version you mentioned. but I started getting error again (pkts). what should I do . From what I've heard these bugs happen frequently in the v400 v300 version. can you help what can i do?
