Future Consideration Support for Setting Archer MR600 as a VPN Client
Hello,
So i'm having this problem with my Router Archer MR600 which i bought 6 months ago and at first i thought it supported VPN's but when i started configuring it i found out that the router itself can be setup as a OpenVPN/PPTP VPN and not as a VPN Client and this is a really big deal for me because My ISP does not provide a public ip to me and my WAN IP is a private IP and that means i cannot do any port forwarding so a VPN is my only choice but i can still port forward with a VPN thro my PC and it's no problem but the thing is that the VPN has a limited amount of devices to connect to and i want most of my home devices to be connected to a VPN and setting up a VPN on my router would allow me to do that Easily but the Archer MR600 doesn't support that and i'm very disappointed at TP-Link for their Hardware feature supporting, at first i thought the archer MR600 does support VPN's but it doesn't and i spent so much on it that i don't wanna spend more on a new router just for a VPN. and i see no reason it doesn't support being set as a VPN Client and there's no benefit for me if i set this up as a VPN server since i don't go out that much.
this would make TP-Links Routers a much Better service since the popularity of VPN's is increasing Each day and more people want to connect their router's to a VPN cause it's easier and more reliable and secure.
I'm not a Networking Expert so i'm sorry if there's something preventing this to be a option on the router
But if there's a solution please Let me know
And i hope TP-Link would release a New Firmware for VPN support
Please put this at a Top Priority if Possible
Thanks...

Hey,
your product can be used also as a wireless router not just as a 4g-router. Because of that, it should be also possible to be used as a VPN-Client.
Don't you think so ?

I completely agree! It surprises me that a company such as tp-link has overlooked this option, especially in this day and age when most people are becoming aware of the need to provide themselves and other users using their connection, with the basic security afforded by a VPN.
Hopefully, tp-link will one day provide an update to address this missing feature

Greetings everyone,
I wanted to share my recent experience with the TP-Link MR600 router, which I unfortunately had to return due to a crucial feature missing from its functionality.
The lack of VPN client support was a dealbreaker for me, and I'm disappointed by the lack of attention this issue seems to have received from TP-Link.
It's surprising that a modern router like the MR600 lacks VPN client support, especially given how many users are looking for this feature.
Ignoring such a substantial demand seems counterproductive, especially considering TP-Link's reputation for providing user-friendly and versatile networking solutions.
I did end up returning the TP-Link MR600 and exploring alternative router options that better meet my needs.
I hope TP-Link takes this feedback constructively and considers implementing VPN client support in future router models.

I suggest we post here any good replacement device for the Archer M600, but that actually supports VPN client.

@TP-Link 3 years with lots of people asking for this basic feature, ignored. Good job.
I guess our last choice is starting everybody to write this stuff on the reviews section of TP-link Archer MR600 on Amazon.
I bet who can understand what does it mean won't buy this LTE router.
