Future Consideration Support for Setting Archer MR600 as a VPN Client
Hello,
So i'm having this problem with my Router Archer MR600 which i bought 6 months ago and at first i thought it supported VPN's but when i started configuring it i found out that the router itself can be setup as a OpenVPN/PPTP VPN and not as a VPN Client and this is a really big deal for me because My ISP does not provide a public ip to me and my WAN IP is a private IP and that means i cannot do any port forwarding so a VPN is my only choice but i can still port forward with a VPN thro my PC and it's no problem but the thing is that the VPN has a limited amount of devices to connect to and i want most of my home devices to be connected to a VPN and setting up a VPN on my router would allow me to do that Easily but the Archer MR600 doesn't support that and i'm very disappointed at TP-Link for their Hardware feature supporting, at first i thought the archer MR600 does support VPN's but it doesn't and i spent so much on it that i don't wanna spend more on a new router just for a VPN. and i see no reason it doesn't support being set as a VPN Client and there's no benefit for me if i set this up as a VPN server since i don't go out that much.
this would make TP-Links Routers a much Better service since the popularity of VPN's is increasing Each day and more people want to connect their router's to a VPN cause it's easier and more reliable and secure.
I'm not a Networking Expert so i'm sorry if there's something preventing this to be a option on the router
But if there's a solution please Let me know
And i hope TP-Link would release a New Firmware for VPN support
Please put this at a Top Priority if Possible
Thanks...

Wow, that really can't be true. I just bought a VPN access and wanted to enter it only to learn after several wasted hours that this router doesn't support it at all. Why are such things communicated in such a complicated or concealed way that you first have to read through whole walls of text and ask for support, only to get sad certainty at some point. Just write it on the packaging that this device is simply NOT suitable for such projects.

@Emilerdbeer totally agree, I would have purchased from another company if TP-Link Archer had made it clear the MR600 didn't support VPNs!! Very underhand of them.

Same for me : with the 4G connection, I have a shared, nated IP and need a VPN to publish some devices to internet.
I need also the VPN Client feature.
