I am not very familiar with the hardware installation. My question is: can I update my router from version 4 to version 7? Thanks for your help. Best regards.

Nope, you cannot. If the hardware version of the router is V4, you can only install the firmware for version 4, it's not allowed to install firmware other than that.

 

You can check the note on the firmware page below:

Nope, you cannot. If the hardware version of the router is V4, you can only install the firmware for version 4, it's not allowed to install firmware other than that.
