A child can easily join the network with a Mac address change for their devices. Mac address whitelisting is an old router feature. There's really no excuse not to have this on your devices. When are you adding whitelists?

@Synoptimus

Hi, supposing the whitelist is available, the device with private MAC address enabled would no longer connect to the Deco, which seems good for the current situation.

While the host smartphone with Deco APP installed would also no longer connect to Deco once the MAC is changed and you will have no access to manage the Deco network.

Also, the MAC address is randomly changing with private address enabled. Find the correct MAC address and add it to the whitelist, which is time/energy-consuming.

So comparing to adding the whitelist, disabling the private address would save much effort.

But with more and more devices using private address for advanced security, the R&D team are still looking for a better solution.

So there has not been a clear date when this feature will be accomplished.
