Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: Latest

Can't add a Google Home, Home mini or Chromecast audio. I see them but when i try to confingure, on the first steop tryinf to connect to the device, it alway says

 

Cant establish communcication

 

  • Deco M5
  • FAI router in bridge mode
  • Default settings for M5 router

 

  1. Tried fast roaming, no success
  2. Tried to rebboot everything, no success
  3. Tried 2.4 ghz only on M5, no success


Latest firmware on eveything!

 

Found multiple posts, some olds, with the same problem. No real solution from TP-Link. Annoying.. Can you guys fix that?

AP mode did it. I had to restart several times, and hard reset each chromecast devices.

@Jimjimjim callend TP Link. They suggest to change top access point only, instead of router mode.

 

Well.. ok .Let's try it. Before getting a prooer messh system. And then by TP Link,

Hi, did the AP mode make any difference?

Have you tried to enable the guest network for 2.4ghz only with a different SSID and connect the smartphone to the guest network, then add the Google Home, Home mini and Chromecast audio?
