Hi I have an AR 1900 and wondered if I could connect up a Deco product to upgrade to a Mesh system?

Hi, is this AR1900 your ISP modem router?

It is ok If you want to connect the main Deco to AR1900 to set up a Mesh system.

Hi and yes at the moment this is my modem and Wi-fi all in one but I have a number if smart devices connected hence looking at a mesh system

 

I'm assuming I need to connect the main unit via cable but do I need to turn off my AR1900 Wi-fi?

Hi, It depends on you.

Deco would work with or without AR1900’s Wi-Fi network, but to reduce the wireless interference, turning off the AR1900 Wi-Fi would be better.
