HI Forum,
I am planning to buy TD-W8968 300Mbps Wireless N USB ADSL2+ Modem Router, which supports 3G dongle over its usb port.

I already had Reliance Netconnect + Dongle (ZTE2736) .I want to use this Dongle with W8968.

Is it possible to use this Dongle? If anyone has used this dongle with W8968 please explain the configuration steps.

not sure about the compatibility issue, as i can not find the specific dongle on tplink compatiblity list. possibly do a real test before purchasing.

Hello Forum,

Just bought the W8968, but not able to establish successful connection with reliance dongle ZTE2736.
I have attached the screenshot.
Router identifies the modem and after that it starts dialing the connection and gets disconnected.
I have entered the correct setting for the dongle and reliance netconnect.
Any help is really appreciated.

Same here :( . I am using ZTE AC2766 which is on tplink compatibility list. but found no luck.:(

Configuring TD-W8968 as 3G router using Reliance NetConnect Dongle

[*]Configuring the 3G router: Now in the TR3020 websetup, click on Quicksetup, select3G/4G router only mode ->Next->Select Country as India->Select the Service provider as “Reliance Netconnect” (there are multiple reliance profiles, so select the one with Dial number as #777 and APN is blank (read blank as nothing)”, Select manual option of entering username and password and put username as “net” and password as “net”->Next->Click next until you get finish.
Hope this will be able to solve your problem

Hi Nilay mine W 8968 doesnt connect to anything now with bsnl bbnd.during device info check it shown internet in IP 4 as DOWN

Can u plz tell me whether you want to use the 3G router mode as a primary connection or a back up connection.

In the above image retry with disabling "Use the following DNS servers" checkbox......
