Hardware Version : V7
Firmware Version :

I would like to use a TD-8817 to isolate my Netgear wireless router from the internet. Is this feasible?
If so, could someone please help me understand which mode and setup I should use?
Thanks

"I would like to use a TD-8817 to isolate my Netgear wireless router from the internet."
Do you mean that you want to use TD-8817 to hide the Netgear router from Internet?
If so, TD-8817 can work as a router to hide the Netgear wireless router. And to configure TD-8817 to work as a router, you need to contact with Sky Broadband to get some information about username, password, VPI, VCI and connection type.
Once you get this information, you can dial up to Internet on the modem. These FAQs should help you.

Thanks for the reply. It's not that I want to "hide" the router, more that I want to be able to re-boot the router without re-starting the connection to the IP.
I have all the Sky log-on details as I needed them for the router so this is easy!! :-)
Thanks for the links. So, if I hard-wire the 8817 to the Netgear router, will I suffer any speed degradation or will it be transparent?

The modem will not slow down Internet speed.
