Model: Deco M5  
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: M5(3.0) 1.5.3 Build 20210203 Rel. 68223

Plugged a NAS on ISP modem intead of the TPLink Deco M9 because then I need forward some of the port and access some apps via web. But I lost the ability to access the NAS with SMB under Windows PC that are connect to Deco.

 

NAS in on 192.168.0.xx and PC, connected to TpLink M9 are on 192.168.68.XX

How can I get both things (outside access and SMS file explorer)?

 

Ny the was, I am in router mode for Deco because Chromecast audio are messy under AP mode.

Hi, Thank you for the update.

I would like to forward your case to the senior engineers and could you please help me get the following details:

1. Would there be an error message when you failed to access the NAS via SMB?

2. Are you able to access the NAS via IP address or ES File Explorer?

1. windows cant access to \\Nas-name

2. Local IP address in a browser yes

Hi,

Would there be any error message when PC could not access NAS via \\Nas-name? and Can I have a picture of it?

By the way, if the PC is wired to the ISP router as well, are you able to access via \\Nas-name?
