Model: Deco X5700
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.2

I have a X5700 deco mesh router connected to a Optimum (ISP) Arris TM1602 modem.  The link is fine - Green Light.  But there is no internet traffic.

Once I connect the X5700 to a standalone ethernet switch and the TM1602 to the same ethernet swithc - PERFECT, I get internet traffic and I can surf etc.

Any reason why this?  All I can think of is the modem is too old to handle the 1.0/2.5 GB ports on the deco maybe?  But the ethernet switchis older than the modem with 100MB ports.

Weird.

@KingZeus

This Deco model has two ports: one is gigabit and another 2.5gb.

If you have not tried it yet, connect Main Deco gigabit port to Arris modem and see if it makes a difference.

@KingZeus

Hi, I see now your Deco X5700 is online, and did you fix this issue already?

If yes, May I know how did you fix it?

Thank you very much.

Hello, negative the issue is still occuring. All I have done is plugged the Deco into a ethernet 100MB switch port - in essence wifi for that one port. Still using my legacy NetGear NightHawk....I will reach out to my cable company to see if a modem upgrade will correct the issue. But my second issue of not allowing me to use any IP schema beside 192.168.X.X is an issue as I don't want to re-ip my devices.
