Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: Latest

The router seems to isolate devices on individual bands and not across bands, i.e. if I turn on AP isolation on 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands, the device is unable to access other devices on the same band but still able to communicate. For instance, my phone is able to cast to my firestick tv on 5ghz band when it is connected to 2.4ghz wifi.

Is there a way to get around it and isolate all devices?

@Aaksz

What you have found is the current router design, as you can see there is an AP Isolation for both frequencies, which means it only isolates the devices communicating with each other in the same frequency, it cannot block the communication across bands.
