Firmware Version: 1.5.3 Build 20210203

I recently bought two Deco M5. The connection is as below: 

 

Modem-->Deco 1(main)------Deco 2(ethernet). Deco 1 to Deco 2 over ethernet backhaul. 

 

I have 200 Mbps plan, and on main Deco 1 I get the full speed. On Deco 2 the speed is capped to 100Mbps.

In posts I saw a mention of cable issues, but from Main Deco 1, the same cable connected to Laptop will provide me 200Mbps. 

I tried connecting the same cable to Deco 2, and made Deco 2 as main Deco, then also I get 200Mbps. 

If the ethernet cable is used between Main Deco 1 to Deco 2 the speed gets capped to 100Mbps. 

When connection between Deco's is wireless I get more than 100Mbps speed. 

How to resolve this issue? Any suggestions???

Try connecting the cable to the other ethernet port of Deco 2 and if it doesn't make any difference then change the cable with another one (CAT 5E/6).

Hi,

 

Tried swapping the Deco's no improvement. The cable from main Deco connected to laptop has not issue, issue is observed only when connected to satellite Deco. 

The same cable connected to Main Deco from Modem also do not have speed issue. Wondering what is inside Deco which is preventing the speed.

But I do have one question:

When Deco 2 is working as the main Deco, Deco 1 as the satellite, was Deco 1 capped to 100m/s this time?

Rajesh: Yes, the Deco1 speed was capped to 100Mbps. Which ever deco is set as satellite Deco, the speed is capped to 100Mbps with Ethernet backhaul.
