I know they had a 1.5 release a couple of months (here https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/272384?page=1), and it had to be removed due to major issues, so probably, since the M5 is already on 1.6, they will skip 1.5 on the M4 and go for a 1.6 instead?
