Hi,

 

Recently installed the m5 mesh network everything works great but one thing.

 

My Airconditioning units only support 2.4Ghz channel 1 to 11 (more like up to channel 10). 
 

I was first able to link one AC unit, but then at some point pressed the "optimize wifi" automatically and my AC's are gone...


All my m5 are up to date. 
 

How can I assign channel 1-10 to my home heating units? It worked fine on my crappy router from my ISP.. it's  ot possible to control my AC units now.

 

i have spent at least 4 hours

figuring stuff out, then found out it needs channel 1-10 on 2.4Ghz in order to work.

Hi, Normally the 2.4ghz channel is between 1-11, in very rare cases, it will change to 12 or 13(only for the EU version).

Could you please install the Wi-Fi analyzer APP on your smartphone and check whether it is on channel 12 or 13?

And May I know the model number of your Air-conditioning units?

@TP-Link can you specify which wifi analyzer app? I have an iPhone. There are many and all of them have in app purchases (so I don't want to try all of them)

 

And I have Daikin FTXM airconditioning. 

 

Type numer main indoor unit: FTXM35M2V1B

 

It is not even an old model, a few years old.

Hi, Wi-Fi Analyzer or InSSIDer  APP  and they are all free by the way.

If it is Daikin, I am a strong feeling your channel might be on 12 or 13 since I received similar feedback before.

If you still need WiFi analyzer, I would recommend Ubiquiti WiFiman. The link to app store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ubiquiti-wifiman/id1385561119

 

It is ad free and does not require in app purchases.
